“It’s hard to think of a more awkward event to cater for: a wedding reception for 150 of all ages, in the middle of a public park with limited access and facilities, and for clients who were this self-confessed control-freak father and his equally picky daughter. Oh, and we didn’t want a sit-down meal but did want lots of variety and some modern touches (mezcal bar, cookie station, cheese grazing-table et al).
Sarah pulled it off magnificently, with a panoply of exquisite hot and cold canapés to suit all tastes, and a seafood bar centrepiece as stylish as it was delicious.
We had so many guests say it was best wedding food they’d ever had. I can only agree. From start to finish, the whole SS team delivered a gastro tour de force, served by staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
“From start to finish the experience of working with Sarah and her wonderful, talented, team was a delight. Their support and advice was invaluable in planning our wedding over 2 reception venues & a combined 250+ covers. With Sarah in charge, Jo in the Kitchen and Kwame out front, we felt supported and guided by the best. And this was just in the preparation! On the day the results of their efforts were spectacular. Catering to fussy taste and broad requirements, Jo’s food was sublime, faultless, and oft mentioned in the many thank you letters we’ve since received. Kwame’s front of house team did a brilliant job - professional and considered in service, a touch of flamboyance and great skill at the cocktail bar. And above and beyond this just praise, we’re most grateful for the fact that Sarah ran the day for us from behind the scenes. The watch in charge was on her wrist. Where proceedings needed more time it was made, and where time was up runners were sent out for our attention, and for the attention of the ushers. This made our day - we couldn’t have been more impressed by or grateful for, Sarah and her team’s tremendous contributions in making ours the best of days. “Sarah Symington and her fabulous team worked for us at Queens House, The Tower of London for over five years doing countless events ranging from huge charitable affairs, catering for several hundred guests at a time, three wonderful and memorable weddings, right through to more intimate lunch and dinner parties. Sarah never once managed to disappoint. Her efficiency is flawless and she is always prepared to go the extra mile ... or five! She has a wealth of contacts within the event world, so access to first rate florists, marquees, fine wines and the like is never a problem. Sarah herself is effortlessly charming, helpful, courteous and great fun to work with.
Just as importantly, her team are absolutely first rate and comprise of three of the finest chefs in London, a wonderful, thoughtful, and kind team of waiting staff, many of whom have been with her for years, all headed up by a first rate and very experienced butler. Again, each and every one of them always bent over backwards to make each event, however small, a happy and successful one. And the food is always quite outstanding, as countless letters to us over the years have testified.
In short, both Richard and I could not recommend Sarah Symington and her amazing team more highly. You will receive an outstanding, friendly and unique service at any event for which they are engaged, and now we are no longer at the Tower, we miss them all hugely!”

I could reach them with every little query whenever I needed to and they were always friendly, courteous and very flexible to help me get my event off the ground. When the food arrived I was so surprised. I had ordered a basic three course dinner – bruschetta to start, Thai chicken noodle salad and one bite chocolate brownies. I expected everything to look a little unimpressive and boring but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Each dish was presented beautifully, featuring some gorgeous colourful flowers and even edible glitter!
